PET/CT Imaging Specialist

Radiology at RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to operate scanners and produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen patients for exam procedures, ensuring correct patient and procedure identification.
- Prepare patients for PET/CT imaging, explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal results.
- Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures, providing patient support and ensuring accurate results.
- Adjust scan parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, customers, and colleagues.
- Follow safety regulations and protect patients, coworkers, and equipment.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed.
- Provide training and technical expertise to new associates.
- Perform quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment to ensure compliance with ACR and AOA guidelines.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of safety-related work behaviors and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to assess, prepare, record, and administer radio pharmaceuticals according to Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or State regulations.
