Responsibilities

This role involves mechanical HVAC service and repair tasks.

We will provide you with the necessary tools to perform your duties to the highest standards.

How you will accomplish this

Probationary employees will carry out mechanical equipment service and any other tasks assigned by the employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the employer, and will perform all assigned work under the supervision of the employer. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, performing maintenance, and resolving equipment issues. Responding to basic service requests. Keeping Johnson Controls, contractors, and clients informed of job progress and issues as necessary.

What we seek

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in an HVAC certification program.
Familiarity with HVAC systems (residential or light commercial).

Ability to perform general building maintenance
Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently
A valid driver's license is required
Willingness to engage in on-the-job training.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with HVAC-related software and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
EPA Refrigeration certification is advantageous

This position is part of a Bargaining Unit but is subject to all pre-hiring screening processes of Johnson Controls. With satisfactory performance, Johnson Controls may recommend you for the Union Local 43 apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment.
