Position Overview:
As a WisCaregiver CNA Trainee, you will gain invaluable experience while working at one of our esteemed facilities. You will perform tasks that do not require CNA certification, allowing you to earn a salary while progressing towards your free CNA certification.
We will provide the essential training, and upon readiness for the certification exam, we will cover the costs for up to three attempts.
Once certified, you will have the opportunity to work at one of our highly regarded facilities, applying the skills acquired during your training. After six months of employment in a North Shore Healthcare facility, you will be eligible for a $500 retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
As a CNA Trainee, your duties will include:
- Assisting with daily activities to support residents.
- Collaborating with nursing assistants, housekeeping, culinary, and activities staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Helping the nursing team with meal service and hydration.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of resident rooms.
- Preparing rooms for new admissions.
- Responding to resident needs and reporting to qualified staff as necessary.
- Transporting residents to meals or activities as per regulations.
- Completing daily task sheets and reporting to the unit manager.
Patient Care Responsibilities:
In addition to trainee duties, you will also:
- Provide excellent patient care and respond promptly to call lights.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily activities.
- Monitor dietary needs and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Record vital signs and observe any significant changes in resident behavior.
- Stay updated with CNA training and facility policies.
