Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician Instructor

Atlantic Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medical Technician Instructor to join our team on a per diem basis at the Atlantic Training Center.

The successful candidate will provide instruction for EMT initial training courses, EMT refresher training, and EMT continuing education courses, ensuring that all associated course/student paperwork is complete and compliant with NJ OEMS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality EMT training programs that meet the needs of our students and the healthcare industry.
  • Ensure that all training materials and equipment are up-to-date and meet the standards of the American Heart Association and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and training staff to develop and implement training programs that meet the needs of our students and the healthcare industry.
  • Stay current with changes in EMT education and training, incorporating best practices and new technologies into training programs.
  • Conduct self-assessments and peer evaluations to ensure that training programs meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Current NJ EMT certification (or higher)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Current NJ EMT Instructor certification
  • Valid driver's license with an unrestricted driving record
  • Prior educator/instructor experience preferred
  • Recent clinical experience required
  • 3 years' experience in an emergency, critical care, or field setting preferred
