Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced construction site management specialist to join our team at Redev CNY. As a site management specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, from pre-construction planning to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day activities of construction sites.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and utilities to ensure timely project completion.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues such as safety concerns, poor work quality, material availability, etc.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years hands-on commercial construction experience including supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Effective use of technology: mobile phone, email, computer software, digital camera, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to professionally interact with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work with and provide direct supervision to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers to meet contractual requirements.
  • Good math/accounting skills.
  • Functions effectively as part of a team.
  • Must understand the importance of safety and quality on job sites.
  • Strong decision making/problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have, at time of hire and maintain throughout employment, a valid NY State driver's license and be willing and able to travel if/when necessary.
