Join our team as a Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will undertake intricate tasks involving engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs on large-scale commercial vehicles. Adhering to OEM and other standards, you will conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections, as well as roadside and emergency service repairs, among other responsibilities. Candidates should possess accreditation from a recognized institution or certification program, demonstrable experience, and the ability to pass a background check.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and precise preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Complete all scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
  • Execute unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform complex operations, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs, and conduct field tests, requiring interpretation of technical documents.
  • Provide emergency roadside assistance as necessary.
  • Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Accurately document repairs and parts on work orders.
  • Maintain tools and workspaces in a clean and organized manner.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.
  • Be prepared for on-call service calls, extended hours, or weekend work when emergency conditions arise.
  • Occasionally drive vans, buses, and vehicles for road tests.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role preferred.
Accreditation from a recognized institution or certification program preferred.
Completion of all training requirements.
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
