Job Summary:

As a Senior Medical Assistant at OU Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization that values teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and other medical personnel in the examination process, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Coordinate patient schedules and provide clerical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
• Perform routine tests, such as audiograms, vision tests, and EKGs, and assist with more complex procedures as needed.
• Obtain and record vital signs, including body temperature, height, weight, and blood pressure, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide nursing duties, such as suture removal, casting, and administration of injections, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience in patient care as a Medical Assistant or 2 years performing electronic order entry as a qualified Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
• One of the following certifications preferred but not required: Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Personnel, or Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
