Job Summary:

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst IV to support the Department of Energy (DOE) State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP). This full-time position is located at the Department of Energy Forrestal Building in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data review, analysis, and reporting in support of the management of DOE SCEP's portfolio.
  • Support the maintenance of current business data, including identifying data gaps, exceptions, and quality issues, and proposing resolution(s).
  • Develop standard reports related to financial status, budgets, and spend plans and resources, staff, and hiring.
  • Utilize various data sources to develop requested reports and support analysis.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Lead data efforts in system modernization projects, including synchronizing data, establishing data reporting processes, leading data quality efforts, developing SOPs, and assisting with the development of business and functional requirements.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. in a related discipline that provides the functional skills to perform the functions and responsibilities described in the position description.
  • Four (4) years of relevant education/experience may substitute the Bachelor's degree to meet the minimum education requirement.
  • Twelve (12) years of relevant experience are required.
  • A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute two (2) years of relevant experience in fulfillment of the minimum experience requirement.
  • Must be able to handle multiple highly sensitive or complex projects at the same time and work cross-functionally to assist with resolving problems and implementing changes.
  • Must have good time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current and active DOE Q Clearance.
  • Master's degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related discipline.
