Job Description

As an Addiction Recovery Therapist at Western Michigan Comprehensive Treatment Center, you will play a crucial role in our patients' treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Planning, overseeing, facilitating, and documenting patients' recovery.
• Co-facilitating assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
• Preparing individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Conducting initial assessments and follow-up evaluations.
• Evaluating patient needs and determining referrals to other programs or facilities.
• Planning for aftercare and providing crisis intervention as needed.
• Providing case management duties for patients and acting as a liaison between referral sources and patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Master's degree in a social or health services field from an accredited college or university.
• Prior experience and knowledge in an addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment environment.
• MCBAP certification or eligibility to apply for a MCBAP Development Plan (for CADC/CAAADC).
• Attained CADC-DP, CADC, CAADC-DP, CAADC, LLMSW, LMSW, LLMFT, LMFT, TLLP, LLP, LP, LLC, or LC.
