Job Title: Plant Manager

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fiber cement home siding and exterior design solutions. We are seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager to lead our production team in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support plant safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Establish and maintain systems to ensure conformance to quality requirements, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
  • Manage operations to meet product demand requirements, exceed machine design parameters, and facilitate product/technology development opportunities.
  • Pursue ways to meet site yield expectations and cost objectives.
  • Create an environment that promotes positive teamwork and accomplishments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant management experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Prior profit/loss responsibilities and a demonstrated ability to identify costs and leverage to achieve results.
  • Strong communication and people skills with the ability to lead and get results through others.
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, employee relations, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
