Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify network operations issues and develop solutions
  • Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting on various networks
  • Analyze problems, create automation to improve existing systems, data collection, and data analysis
  • Apply network process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles and network process modernization projects
  • Analyze the current performance of systems and networks
  • Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to eliminate impact on network performance, and improve survivability, and provide feedback to the network engineers
  • Use complex network analysis tools to identify and predict problems in the network and aid in the post-mortem analysis of network anomalies
  • Generate reports and data required by the program team to manage complex networks
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and network management teams
  • Analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput); recommend modifications to network components

Requirements:

  • 16 years of related work experience (equivalent to a doctorate and 8 years of experience, or a master's and 10 years, a bachelor's and 12 years, an associate's and 14 years, or a high school diploma and 16 years)
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2
  • Project Management Professional Certification (desired)
