Job Summary

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, installing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment and devices. This is a safety-sensitive position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial control panels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with engineering and project management teams to ensure clear understanding of assignments
  • Receive and document incoming instrumentation orders
  • Power up, calibrate, and test instrumentation components
  • Complete and maintain instrument calibration and test forms
  • Point-to-point and power up testing of industrial control panels
  • Complete documentation of control panel testing and drawing redlines
  • Field startup and commissioning of instrumentation and industrial control panels
  • Provide onsite training on instrumentation and controls components to customers
Requirements
  • Technical/associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to job sites
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial control panels
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs
  • Ability to startup project-specific instruments
  • Understanding of PLC I/O schematics and relay logic
  • Understanding of motor control/VFD circuits
  • Experience with current versions of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
