The University of Miami Department of Facilities is seeking a skilled Plumber, Licensed to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures, including pipes, faucets, and toilets.
- Inspect and test plumbing systems to identify potential issues and prevent leaks and other problems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand plumbing system layouts and configurations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to complete projects and tasks, and provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in plumbing or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, and ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
