Cost Estimator

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team. As a Cost Estimator, you will work with our Business Development Estimating Team to generate complex project cost spreadsheets for pricing proposals in response to government RFPs and discussions with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather details and compile data to estimate project performance costs to meet government specifications.
Develop aggressive and competitive proposals to address government customer requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Develop and employ costing factors and methodologies for materials, equipment, tools, labor, and vehicles.
Tailor and comprehend developed work breakdown structures based on solicitation workload and manipulate cost models in response to all solicitation types.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Procore, Sage, MS Excel, or similar estimating database.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work as a team member.
Knowledge of Service Contract Act, Collective Bargaining Agreements, Davis Bacon, Defense Base Act, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and other Government-related applicable standards and regulations.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, with 80% working from home and 20% in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required, including site visits to DoD bases in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
