Airworthiness Inspector A&P Job Description

Job Summary:

The Airworthiness Inspector A&P is responsible for ensuring the quality and airworthiness of aircraft and components in the Repair Station. This includes conducting inspections, reviewing paperwork, and coordinating with teams to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  2. Review and verify documentation, including maintenance records and inspection reports.
  3. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and inspection teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  4. Maintain accurate and legible records of work performed on aircraft and components.
  5. Conduct audits of maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and completion.
  6. Ensure aircraft and components are airworthy prior to flight activities.
  7. Mentor technicians on effective documentation and quality control procedures.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  3. 4 years aircraft experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
  4. Proficient in Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms, and documents.
  5. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong computer skills.
  8. Ability to work all shifts.
  9. Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  10. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
