Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P is responsible for ensuring the quality and airworthiness of aircraft and components in the Repair Station. This includes conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with technicians to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  2. Review and verify documentation, including maintenance records and inspection reports.
  3. Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  4. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
  5. Mentor technicians on effective documentation and quality control procedures.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 6 years aircraft/component inspection experience, including 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft.
  3. Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  4. Proficient in Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents.
  5. Proficient in blueprint reading, use/interpretation of Maintenance Manuals, test specifications and other inspection related documentation.
  6. Familiar with FAA certification approval processes.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and typing speed of 20 WPM.
  9. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
