Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate customer-facing financing documents, including equipment finance agreements, loan documents, security agreements, and more.

Foster collaborative relationships with senior leadership, functional area heads, and Legal colleagues across the organization.

Implement business initiatives, strategic plans, and special projects alongside the General Counsel and senior leadership.

Provide guidance on the company's roles as lessor, servicer, lender, loan participant, buyer, or seller within syndicates.

Negotiate corporate contracts, including equipment leases, loans, and secured financing agreements.

Manage lease contract enforcement, including collection litigation, bankruptcy, and recovery efforts.

Research, review, and advise on legal matters, such as UCC, titling issues, and related concerns.

Fulfill general legal tasks as requested by the General Counsel and senior management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Ohio Bar License
  • At least 5 years practicing law in a major law firm or corporate law environment
  • Excellent business acumen and judgment
  • Ability to understand business needs and place legal risk in proper business context
