Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Clinical Oversight: Provides leadership to household staff to maintain policies and procedures for clinical practices and household management that support person-centered care.
  • Clinical Policy Implementation: Implements clinical policies and procedures that ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient practices supporting professional standards of nursing care.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Assures that documentation, medication administration, resident nursing care, safety and sanitation, personnel and staff development, RAI process, materials management, CQI, and resident rights are in compliance with facility standards.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Works with other dedicated nurses, medication aides, nurse leaders, caregivers, homemakers, housekeepers, case managers, and MDS nurses to provide comprehensive care.
  • Staff Development and Training: Participates in hiring functions, orientation, training, clinical competency, coaching, educating, counseling, and performance appraisals to support team and professional standards of practice.
  • Quality Improvement: Maintains staffing patterns consistent with the philosophy, objectives, and availability of resources and participates in the clinical component of continuous quality improvement in the household.
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Active RN or LPN Kentucky license required.
  • Experience: 2 years' experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting preferred.
  • Clinical Skills: Great clinical skills are essential.
  • Team Nursing Approach: Short-term care or long-term care nurse with a team nursing approach.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Frequent opportunities for learning new skills and treatment methods.
  • Background Check and Drug Screen: Required.
