Key Responsibilities

As a postdoctoral fellow, you will engage in cutting-edge research aimed at enhancing the performance of magnetoelectric materials for applications in logic and memory systems. Your contributions will be pivotal in addressing the urgent need for new materials that facilitate the advancement of energy-efficient nanoelectronic devices.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting experimental research to support the development of novel magnetoelectric materials.
  • Formulating and optimizing growth protocols utilizing pulsed laser deposition (PLD) techniques.
  • Characterizing thin films through a variety of advanced analytical methods.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and fabricate lab-scale prototype devices.
  • Synchronizing research efforts with teams across different locations to ensure cohesive project outcomes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry, with relevant research experience.
  • Expertise in the deposition and characterization of magnetic materials and thin films, particularly using PLD.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation and the physical characterization of nanoscale films.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced laboratory and clean-room techniques, including AFM, SEM, TEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy.
  • A solid understanding of magnetoelectric phenomena and basic device characterization methodologies.
  • Strong motivation, independence, and a results-oriented mindset, coupled with effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse research groups.
