Postdoctoral Researcher

Imec, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to address the challenges of efficient and fast processing of sensor data in automotive applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both AI algorithms and hardware architecture design.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop algorithms and hardware systems for efficient on-sensor, real-time processing of asynchronous sensor events.
- Develop end-to-end systems that integrate on-sensor frontends with compute-in-memory backend AI processors to handle a wide range of ADAS workloads.
- Collaborate with local teams at the University of Michigan to lead research activities on sensor suite selection, algorithm design and implementation, algorithm benchmarking, system architecture definition, and end-to-end architecture development and evaluation.
- Recently completed (or soon to complete) a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, with relevant experience.
- Proven research experience in hardware-software co-design for AI algorithm accelerators.
- Experience or familiarity with AI algorithms, system architecture modeling and simulation, and data analysis tools.
- Expertise and interest in the automotive context is considered a plus.
- Programming experience in Python and/or C++ is a plus.
