  • Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Pocono Mountain Recovery Center stands as a premier facility in eastern Pennsylvania dedicated to the treatment of substance use disorders. Our center offers a comprehensive range of services including residential treatment, detoxification, and outpatient care for adults aged 18 and above, regardless of gender. We prioritize personalized treatment in a tranquil healing environment, guided by the principles of the 12-Step program. Our therapeutic approach integrates individual and group therapies, utilizing methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness practices, and various experiential therapies including music, recreational, art therapy, and yoga.

Purpose of the Role:

The LPN will deliver nursing care and services in accordance with the standards and scope defined by the state Nurse Practice Act, alongside facility and corporate policies. A commitment to maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards all patients is essential, with a focus on patient safety as a paramount concern.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Monitor patient health and provide basic care in alignment with the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice, ensuring care plan objectives are met.

• Exemplify high standards of customer service and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.

• Collaborate with team members to address the physical, biopsychosocial, developmental, and cultural needs of patients, and actively work to resolve any customer complaints.

• Ensure patient comfort by implementing individualized nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan.

• Apply suitable interventions to facilitate patient progress towards wellness and maintain overall health.

• Engage in discussions about care with patients, actively listening to their concerns and reporting any changes in status to registered nurses and physicians.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, colleagues, and other stakeholders involved in patient care.

• Administer medications safely in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and current best practices.

• Uphold professional nursing standards in line with facility policies, external governing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing guidelines.

• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

• A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current LPN/LVN license as mandated by state regulations.

• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).

• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility regulations.
