Job Title: LPN Substance Addiction Recovery

Join our team at Pocono Mountain Recovery Center, a leading drug rehabilitation center in eastern Pennsylvania, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Substance Addiction Recovery program.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to provide nursing care and services to patients struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
  • Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure that patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met.
  • Provide for the basic comfort of patients and implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care.
  • Discuss the care provided with patients and listen to their concerns.
  • Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in the patient's treatment.
  • Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians' orders, and/or current practice.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • One or more years' of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
  • Current LPN/LVN license as required by the state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by the facility).
