Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney with 1 to 10 years of civil litigation experience to join our legal team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal support and assisting with various legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and reports
  • Handle defense of civil litigation matters from the initial stages to final resolution, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with case management and preparation for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
  • Attend client meetings and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
  • 1+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on insurance defense matters or other civil litigation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
