Job Title: Assembly Engineer

This is a challenging opportunity to join our team at Hitachi Astemo as an Assembly Engineer, where you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Inverter products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evaluate new Inverter product processes and equipment.
  • Support the development of technology, resource, and production requirements.
  • Support new business opportunity evaluation.
  • Support M/P equipment problems and develop solutions.
Requirements:
  • 4-year University Degree in a related field and 5 years of related work experience.
  • Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, optical inspection, and computer programming.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, data-driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience within the automotive industry, with an emphasis on electro/mechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors.
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing.
Work Environment:
  • Requires 25% travel - Domestic and International (may include short-term assignments in foreign countries).
  • Open-Office Setting.
  • Factory Setting with Noise.
