Northern Light Acadia Hospital seeks a full-time Child Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Outpatient Child and Adolescent team in Bangor, Maine.

This position offers the opportunity to work with an experienced, collaborative team of psychiatrists, PMHNPs, RNs, and MAs who are passionate about providing top-notch psychiatric care to children and adolescents throughout Maine.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Child Psychiatry and possess solid clinical and leadership skills. The successful applicant will lead an interdisciplinary team responsible for providing psychiatric care for children and adolescents referred to our outpatient program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic evaluations and annual re-evaluations
  • Recommending and initiating treatment interventions
  • Follow-up care as indicated

In addition to these responsibilities, the selected individual will have the option to participate in teaching/lecturing opportunities with our new Adult Psychiatry Residency Program starting in 2024. This role also presents an opportunity to become eligible for a clinical faculty position at the University of New England School of Osteopathic Medicine.
