Job Title: Claims Examiner

Job Summary:

The Claims Examiner is responsible for investigating, documenting, and resolving liability, property, cargo, brokerage, and subrogation claims. This includes gathering and analyzing claim data, evaluating facts to determine legal responsibility, and ensuring compliance with company goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and document claims, including alleged vehicle defects
  • Analyze claim data and evaluate facts to determine legal responsibility
  • Resolve coverage disputes and negotiate settlements
  • Respond to customer requests and provide guidance on claims-related issues
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices
  • Other tasks and assignments as assigned by Manager


Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in insurance claims handling preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Independent thinker with ability to work and make decisions on own
  • Proficient in Access, Excel, Word, AS400, Outlook, and Internet research
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $28-31/hr


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
