Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preliminary physical tests, including measuring vital signs and recording patient information.
  • Prepare patients for healthcare provider visits and obtain and record vital signs.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform routine tests, including EKGs, and schedule patients for diagnostic testing.
  • Communicate test results and plan of care to patients by phone or mail.
  • Prepare and clean instruments, maintain equipment, and keep patient exam rooms stocked and clean.
  • Document patient plans of care, tests, and examination results in the medical record.
  • Escalate non-routine issues, questions, and concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider.
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within three months of hire.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three months of hire.
