Intelligence Operations Analyst - Mid Level

This role necessitates an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance and the capability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Cherokee Analytics is in search of skilled professionals to fill the position of Intelligence Operations Analyst, providing vital support to our governmental clients. The Analyst will deliver comprehensive analytic support across various domains including collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary will be aligned with experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Intelligence Operations Analyst - Mid Level:
  • Generates coordinated all-source intelligence analytic products regarding foreign intelligence entities' capabilities, intentions, and opportunities that may pose threats to U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel and interests globally. This analysis covers regional and functional counterintelligence topics, including threats to Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) and DoD supply chains, as well as emerging technologies.
  • Offers analytic support to senior officials, collectors, and operators across the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), and law enforcement agencies for DIA's counterintelligence programs and missions. Performs additional job-related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to obtain CI Polygraph.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant analytical experience, with at least some experience within the last 2 years.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work semi-independently with appropriate oversight.
  • Proficient in evaluating and synthesizing multiple information sources logically.
  • Capable of interpreting analysis, understanding its significance and implications.
  • Ability to defend analytic conclusions with sound reasoning and adapt judgments based on new information or evolving situations.
  • Skilled in producing timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and documents using Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clarity and organization.
  • Experience in structured research, including obtaining, evaluating, and maintaining information in accordance with security protocols.
  • Adept at recognizing nuances and resolving contradictions in information.
  • Working knowledge of complex analytic methodologies to strengthen arguments and mitigate uncertainties.
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience in evaluating collected intelligence reporting and developing collection requirements.
  • Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirm completion of all necessary training for the position.
  • Ability to communicate insights from complex, indirect, or technically advanced information.
  • Ability to structure analysis based on reporting trends and diverse analytic perspectives.
  • Collaborative approach to working with other IC members on information sharing and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in developing insightful and comprehensive intelligence products.
  • Demonstrated leadership in addressing multifaceted or critical problems.
  • Guidance in selecting and applying analytic methodologies effectively.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
