We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Nuclear Medicine Technologists at Ochsner Health System. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for operating complex medical equipment, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.

Your daily tasks will include verifying physician orders, utilizing radiology information systems, explaining procedures to patients, and independently operating equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol. You will also review patient images prior to transmission to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards and complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.

  • You will work independently, making decisions based on established protocols and guidelines.
  • You will provide education and training to junior staff members.
  • You will participate in the orientation and training of new employees.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Operate complex medical equipment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in nuclear medicine technology or a related field.
  • Be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Have a valid driver's license.
