Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Baylor College of Medicine in an outpatient care setting at the BSLMG location MAC I Orthopedics. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support the healthcare system, and collaborate with providers and practice staff to identify appropriate patients for care management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain detailed patient histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and write orders and progress notes.
  • Provide follow-up health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and family members regarding patient care.
  • Collaborate with providers and practice staff to identify patients for care management.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • 2-5 years of medical experience.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current Texas Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN-NP) and specialty certification as required by department.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
