Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in our Medical-Psychiatric Unit, providing direct patient care and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This is a part-time position, working 36 hours per week, with a schedule of 7pm-7am.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Recognize and report any signs of suicidal ideation or aggressive behavior to the RN for assessment.
- Ensure the safety of both staff and patients on the Medical-Psychiatric Unit by implementing appropriate measures to provide a safe environment.
- Participate in identifying at-risk behavior and implementing interventions to prevent further disability.
- Graduate of an accredited and/or approved practical nurse program.
- Current license as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current certification in CPR required.
- 2-4 years experience in healthcare and nursing services experience strongly preferred.
