Job Description

MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Psychiatric Unit team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current licensure as a LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare and nursing services, with a strong preference for experience in psychiatric care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
