Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Dental Depot. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthodontic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for treatment, including sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment.
  • Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including taking and recording medical and dental histories.
  • Expose dental diagnostic x-rays and record treatment information in patient records.
  • Provide postoperative instructions and dismiss patients with proper handoffs to other departments.
  • Instruct patients in oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
  • May be designated as the Orthodontic Clinical Inventory Administrator, responsible for conducting orthodontic supply inventory, ordering supplies, and tracking budgets.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Completion of a Dental Assisting Program or minimum one year experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Current Oklahoma Dental Assisting Permit
  • Radiation Safety and Protection Permit within 6 months of employment
  • Coronal Polishing and Topical Fluoride Permit within 6 months of eligibility
