Responsibilities

As a Primary Care Medical Assistant, you'll provide clinical and administrative support to our primary care providers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collecting and recording pertinent clinical history, and performing lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake, assist primary care providers with patient assessments, examinations, and minor procedures, and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality during procedures.
  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and schedule referrals, maintain and update patient records, and prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, and delivering clinical and administrative support to the team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
  • A High School Diploma or Its Equivalent.
