Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated First Responder Wellness Coordinator to join our team at Community Concepts. This temporary position, up to 23 months, offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of first responders and their families.

The Maine Resiliency Center provides resources and support to those affected by the mass violence event in Lewiston, ME. As a First Responder Wellness Coordinator, you will serve as a single point of contact for individuals and families in need, coordinating support services, trainings, and workshops to enhance first responder wellness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and coordinating support services, trainings, and workshops to enhance first responder wellness.
  • Serving as a liaison to first responders/public safety departments.
  • Providing direct support to impacted individuals and families and facilitating access to community resources.
  • Assisting in daily center activities/operations, including providing group and one-on-one support for individuals and families.

Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, higher education in social work or a related field preferred, and a minimum of three years of related experience. Experience working with populations who have experienced trauma and understanding of a trauma-informed approach are essential.
