Moffatt & Nichol is a global leader in waterfront infrastructure projects, seeking a highly skilled Total Rewards Director to join its Human Resources team. This key role will lead the development and management of employee benefits, compensation structures, and HR Systems, providing strategic guidance to the CHRO, Executive Team, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of US and International economic conditions, labor markets, and other factors related to ensuring competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Oversee employee benefits contracts and programs, including plan design, administration, enrollment, education, compliance, reporting, and filings.
  • Design, develop, and implement compensation programs, policies, and procedures to respond to the company's goals and competitive practices.
  • Participate in and manage salary/benefit surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Support HR team members and business leadership in job evaluation, offer pricing, and review of internal pay equity.
  • Keep apprised of US and International laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
  • Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, local, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers.
  • Establish procedures to ensure all employees are assisted appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the design, administration, and implementation of HR systems.
  • Promote efficient and automated workflows to provide users with appropriate data access and to maximize data integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 15 or more years of progressively more responsible Human Resources experience, including 5 years of experience in employee benefit design and management, 5 years of experience in compensation design and program administration, and 5 years of experience in HR System administration.
  • Professional certification as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Senior level knowledge in the following HR Competencies: Benefits Administration, Compensation, Business Acumen, Communication, Consultation, Compliance, Critical Evaluation, Ethical Practice, Global & Cultural Awareness, HR Expertise, and Relationship Management.
  • Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred.

  • Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
