Diagnostic Radiology APP Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding Diagnostic Radiology team at Emory Healthcare.

About the Role

This is a weekday position with a rotating weekend call schedule that will be shared across the team. The APP will work with diagnostic radiology to perform fluoroscopic procedures and associated clinical work, such as consults, vetting, hospital rounding, and clinical workup.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients
  • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records
  • Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems
  • Performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician
  • Provides inpatient and outpatient consultations, completes historical intake, performs physical examinations, directs a plan of care, provides education, and informed consent, or offers follow-up procedural care
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
  • Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of two years' of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties
  • Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required
