The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic radiology services to patients in a timely and efficient manner. This will involve assisting radiologists and primary physicians by obtaining the best possible radiographs for interpretation, as well as keeping up-to-date with changing protocols in x-ray and CT.
The CT Technologist will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment. They will also be responsible for positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, administering radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues, and evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic technology and experience working with x-ray and CT equipment. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality diagnostic radiology services to patients
- Assist radiologists and primary physicians with radiograph interpretation
- Keep up-to-date with changing protocols in x-ray and CT
- Capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using CT equipment
- Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
Requirements:
- Associate degree in radiologic technology from an accredited/approved school
- AL Radiologic Technology license
- Registered Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Knowledge of x-ray equipment and related technology
- Current BLS certification
