Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Capitol Hill Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography examinations of patients, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients, confirms image requirements, and explains procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Reviews patient medical history, confirms consent forms, and positions patients on examination tables for optimal imaging.
  • Operates CT equipment, introducing intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologists, and adjusts settings to achieve high-quality images.
  • Maintains equipment, examination rooms, and inventory of related supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Prepares patient information files, submits reports, and performs other related duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT, with certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program and high school diploma or GED required.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (District of Columbia), Basic Life Support, and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients, as well as the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time.

Must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department needs without affecting departmental flow, and possess effective interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients.

Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software and knowledge of customer-focused service requirements are essential.
