Job Summary:

The Rental Assistant Store Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the rental department at Mount Snow Sports. This includes overseeing merchandising, financial management, staff supervision, and overall store management. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales generation and growth, inventory control, controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, loss prevention, and store appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of rental operations, including managing a team of up to 10 frontline staff with 4-5 direct reports.
  • Provide an important piece of our guests' experience of a lifetime while in our resort by maintaining a strong culture of guest service.
  • Lead daily operations, ensuring that department and staff have all necessary supplies and training.
  • Monitor team performance and provide consistent and direct feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members.
  • Train and coach employees in POS system operations, product knowledge, guest service, sales techniques, and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business area training or education preferred.
  • 1-3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitask, and manage multiple customers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
