Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who will analyze business problems, perform technical writing, make recommendations, plan and monitor sprints, assist in reporting, and facilitate collaboration within cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Jira, Extensive Documentation, Agile/Scrum, Postman, Balsamiq, GitHub, and Adobe Products/UI/UX principles, along with a firm foundation in developing web applications.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners and business leaders to comprehend their requirements and translate them into detailed feature scope and sprint plans for the development team.
  • Develop comprehensive product documentation, including requirement statements, logical data models, process designs, user interface mock-ups, and use cases.
  • Participate in evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Lead and contribute to design sessions, enhancing the overall user experience and functionality of new and existing products.
  • Foster strong relationships with scrum teams and stakeholders, positioning the company to address and anticipate the changing demands of the insurance landscape.
  • Triage end-user bugs, identify, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Participate in the SCRUM process and UX design sessions, collaborating with the scrum team to design and implement all facets of application development, including UI, APIs, features, hotfixes, etc.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize tasks to adhere to project deadlines and milestones.
  • Define and manage project scope, ensuring that design requirements and technical specifications are met within set timelines.
  • Spearhead product development initiatives, coordinating with both internal teams and external technology partners to drive product evolution and integration.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience.
  • (2) years of professional Agile/Scrum analysis of software development concerning web applications, including team collaboration and code repositories (GitHub, SVN, Bitbucket, etc).
  • (1) year of programming exposure with one or more software programming language experience, preferably React Native, SQL, MongoDB, Firebase.
  • (2) years of active team engagement in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience using hosting services (AWS).
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • (2) years of exposure to full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, unit and integration testing, and operations experience.
  • (2) years of experience in product management, project management, software development, quality assurance, technical writing, or related fields.
