Job Summary

The N.C. Community College System is seeking a qualified Child Care Center Educator to join our team. As a Child Care Center Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement developmentally appropriate practices and activities for children
  • Assist with identifying each child's capabilities and needs
  • Ensure the welfare, health, and safety of the children in the group
  • Attend required pre-service and in-service training
  • Maintain compliance with North Carolina Child Care requirements

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • At least 18 years of age and available to work as needed from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays
  • A North Carolina Early Childhood Credential is required
  • Candidates must obtain a TB Test, health screenings, and the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education Criminal Background Check before the first day of employment
  • A current CPR and First Aid certification are required or the applicant must be willing to obtain this training and certification within six weeks of the start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or current enrollment in an Early Childhood program of study
  • Experience working with children ages infant to five years
  • Bilingual and a National Career Readiness Certificate are preferred
