Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications as necessary to treat patients' mental health conditions.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention to patients experiencing mental health crises.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Education and Certification: Current, valid board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry, and a medical degree from an accredited medical school with completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
- Licensure and Registration: Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Florida, and current DEA registration.
- Skills and Qualities: Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric practices, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
