Pediatric Nurse Specialist

At Connecticut Children's, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our young patients. As a Staff Nurse on our pediatric unit, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct professional nursing care to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, organizational policies, and regulations.
- Assume 24-hour accountability to plan and provide safe, appropriate patient care to a defined patient population.
- Participate in the leadership of the unit by functioning as the Resource Nurse and/or by participating in the professional development of others through preceptor/mentor activities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of ASN/ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
- Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse Licensure required and maintained thereafter.
- American Heart Association, or American Red Cross, Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification required upon hire and maintained thereafter.
