ProCare Therapy - School Psychologist Position

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team in Accomack, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school psychology and be committed to providing high-quality services to students.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and develop targeted intervention strategies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to support students' emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote a positive school climate.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to students and staff when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid School Psychologist certification/license in the state of employment.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, including cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff.
