Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Quality Specialist to join our team at Hidalgo County, TX. As a key member of our healthcare quality team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and evaluating nursing activities to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate nursing activities to improve patient outcomes
  • Evaluate nursing services through statistical analysis and performance reports
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to staff and healthcare providers
  • Conduct inspections and certifications of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Four years of experience in nursing work
  • One year or more of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures, health care laws and regulations, medical diagnosis and procedures, and community health and nursing care principles
  • Ability to provide patient care, prepare and maintain records, and explain public health law
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, interpret health care regulations, and recognize patterns of medical necessity treatment
