About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY.

Job Summary

This full-time position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of an RN or other authorized healthcare provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans that address physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, symptoms, and laboratory results to inform care decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Associate's degree in Nursing with significant experience may be considered).
  • New York State Practical Nurse License, Limited Permit, or ability to practice within the 90-day grace period allowed by New York State guidelines.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
