We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our patients, focusing on their functional goals and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to address their occupational therapy needs.
- Provide specialized activities and interventions to aid patients in mastering daily tasks and coping with long-term disabilities.
- Supervise and mentor staff occupational therapists and assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate new programs, policies, and procedures for the occupational therapy unit.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Occupational Therapy License and current registration issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Minimum of two years of full-time experience administering occupational therapy under professional supervision, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to this requirement.
- Additional experience or a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field may be preferred for Level II assignments.
