Role Summary: The Fleet Operations Manager plays a crucial role in fostering and managing relationships with drivers to enhance overall satisfaction and improve retention rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and oversee a team of drivers to ensure optimal delivery performance and profitability of the fleet.
  • Build strong relationships with drivers to boost performance and promote retention.
  • Effectively communicate customer requirements to drivers through dispatch instructions.
  • Review and approve driver compensation-related matters.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures within the transportation sector.
  • Collaborate with Load Planning teams to secure loads that align with both driver and customer needs.
  • Act as an advocate for drivers within internal departments to address inquiries, concerns, and resolve issues.
  • Maximize equipment usage and driver earnings.
  • Work in close partnership with other departments to achieve objectives related to customers, drivers, and safety initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior management or coaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
