Brightpoint is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Advocate to join our team in Noble, Indiana. This dynamic role requires an Associate's degree in Human Services or a related field, along with two years of experience in the human services sector.

Job Description

As a Family Advocate at Brightpoint, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of families enrolled in Head Start programs. Your primary responsibility will be to identify potential clients through agency data, neighborhood involvement, outreach, and other methods. You will also maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in working with minimal supervision. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, databases, and DOS environments is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Identification: Utilize agency data, neighborhood involvement, and outreach to identify potential clients for Head Start programs.
  • Record Maintenance: Accurately record client communications and ensure confidentiality.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Track and follow up with attendance to ensure an 85% rate at assigned centers.
  • Parent Engagement: Collaborate with parents to develop family partnership plans, devise individual volunteer plans, and plan parent meetings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Human Services, Public Affairs, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a human services field.
  • Certifications: Must be certified in CPR and First Aid within 120 days of hire.
  • Licenses: Valid Indiana driver's license with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated, attentive to detail, well organized, dependable, productive, and function well under deadlines and multiple priorities.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and location. Benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development.
